The Stick & Step Charity Golf Day at Pryors Hayes Golf Club was a great success – with international footballers and fantastic motorbikes on show! The event raised a massive £26,000 for charity, to the delight founder and ambassador Rob Palmer.
The tournament was sponsored by Bill Smith Motors in Chester – who offered up an exciting Triumph Scrambler as a hole in one prize. Although there were no winners – it didn’t stop former Liverpool FC legends Robbie Fowler & Jason McAteer from getting their hands on the bike! The pair, who have over 500 premiership appearances between them, and 169 goals (no prizes for guessing who scored most of them!) both took the chance to see the bike up close.
It wasn’t all Liverpool in the clubhouse – Kevin Ratcliffe, former Everton and Wales footballer made sure the Blues had a strong presence on the golf day! Rumour has it that it was more Rickie Fowler than Robbie Fowler as he & McAteer teamed up with Sky Sports Rob Palmer & another former Evertonian, Tony Grant to take home victory!
The support for Stick n Step charity is well deserved. Stick n Step help the lives of children with cerebral palsy through conductive education sessions that help them push the boundaries of their disability.
